Looks like I might be sending my Moog Voyager to the service centre in Germany, for various mods, upgrades and general servicing. So, I’m looking for a good flight-case maker here in the UK, since I don’t have the original box.
You’re in luck, because Swan Flight cases is in the UK and they ROCK.
I’m actually in the States, but had a great experience ordering a custom case for my Octatrack, Zen Delay, and DB-01. Can’t recommend them highly enough.
Thanks for the suggestions. The service centre I’ve now agreed to use in London - HHB, have sent me an email saying that they don’t accept service returns in flight cases.
So, looks like I no longer need to go down this route. I’ve identified a specialist packing and transport company to do the transfer down to London.
Their reason (excuse?) is that carriers have previously managed to damage flight case and instrument in-transit by accidentally going through the weak points in the panels.
That seems odd to me. But I’m not going to presume to know anything about their plight as a business. As long as the work gets done, done well, and your Voyager is returned safely to you, I suppose that’s all that matters.
