Hey guys, I really look forward to listening to the Sonic Talk podcast each week in my car and was wondering if there are any other music gear related podcasts worth subscribing to?
I guess this can be video chat as well as I can put YouTube on with my screen off.
…sonic talk is nice…but apart from that, i don’t know of any other and i don’t listen to gear talk that much…love to talk about it with others, sure…but lisenting to podcasts in such manner does not really happen in my life…when it come to music podcasts all in all, i enjoy broken records from time to time, where rick rubin talks to various musicians…
or ghost notes is another good podcast about music in the making…
and if ur into sounddesign and all sorts of hearing phenomena, twenty thousand hertz is a pretty decent and well curated/produced podcast about various items from the world of sound in common…also a lot like sound and foly work in movies and particular how to sounddesigns for brands and projects, videogames and whatnot…
Oh, and I forgot! :
Music + Art + Technology by the late Cycling '74 wizard Darwin Grosse.
Very low key, but impressive selection of different guests, and a lot of cool insights.
Interviews with Curtis Roads, Acreil, Mark Fell, Richard Devine, Mark Rossum etc.
I miss him
Edit
It’s less about music gear, though, but still very much about using the most out of your gear.
SysEx dumpster is by far my favorite.
If you’re into modular, they have a lot of insight into the world of Eurorack.
Warning: They talk some good smack about Elektron products, but also use them and have good constructive criticism most of the time.
