Where's the flashing (!) in the sound pool?

From the manual 11.11.2 Sound Locks

“Remember, all Sounds may not be loaded to all tracks. If a Sound in the list is incompatible
with the active track, it may not be sound locked. When browsing the Sound pool, Sounds
that are incompatible with the active track are shown with a flashing (!) symbol on the
screen. As are empty Sound pool slots”

Maybe I’m missing something here but when I try and load a sound from my sound pool, there is no indication (no flashing !) telling me that the sound I want to sound lock is incompatible with the active track. If I choose a sound that is incompatible with the active track, it simply ignores the sound lock and plays the track sound.

Am I missing something? It would be nice to know which sounds I can load without having to wait for the sequencer to come around just to know if the track sound is still playing or not.

I hope I am making sense!

I only use Overbridge for that stuff. Better overview etc.
If try to drag an incompatble sound to a track it’s pad gets red and wont allow to drop it there.

Yes. Afaict you’ve found a bug, report that and see if we’ve missed anything, but when you use the level encoder whilst grid recording it allows you to set bogus sound locks with no warning whatsoever. There are only viable options when realtime recording, so the useless parts of the pool are hidden, but there’s no !, let alone a flashing ! and no indication that the process has failed except by auditioning that the track sound is still playing - a warning reminder that a sound is not valid on a track would be appreciated (as per the written manual) - good catch

I recently watched a tutorial with the wonderful cuckoo on the M1 version and I see the flashing !
on that version.

I hope they fix this and add it to the mk2. It’s confusing to just hear the track sound with no warning that the sound is incompatible with the selected track.

I did submit a ticket weeks ago but have not heard anything.
