how could i forget that 60s song?!

also, very special case — cover on cover:

also, does this count as a cover?

And the original wasn’t too shabby either!

yeah, “morning dew” gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it, the hole album is fantastic

I personally feel that if you’re going to cover a song you have to reimagine it a bit. If it sounds like the original it’s like you haven’t done anything at all, might as well just listen to the original.
This is why Devo’s Satisfaction is one of the best covers ever. Same with Hendrix’s Watchtower. It’s also why Weezer’s Africa is one of the worst covers ever.
I’m wouldn’t quite say I like this one more than the original but I love the spirit of it.

From what I’ve heard, the production quality is fairly divisive. Some people like the ‘lofi’ thing though

Anytime the cover drops the vocal. I prefer the majority of muzak covers.

No one can out sing Ian Curtis

Ah, my Swedish friend.

I feel a bit ashamed not knowing some of these were covers! Great finds in here, will keep me busy at work!

Señor Coconut is generally good, but Uwe Schmidt’s original work is even better. Particularly his live MPC jams.
