What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

Digitone 2 and Digitakt 2

Intention - getting immersed in this set up, using on their own and with overbridge to finish songs / resample from my laptop.

I sold my octatrack this week having got the Digitakt 2 to try out. For me and my way of working, it makes a lot of sense and I think it’s a really amazing box (neither is better or worse, respectively incredible imo)

The Digitone 2 is a very nice to have essentially, I look forward to getting into it. They arrived within close proximity of one another so I wanted to post now this duo is settled.

I’m landlocking my setup at the end of the year, software and hardware after some changes and learning this year, with an intention of finishing things and being prolific.

Picked up a Trace to see what interesting results I can generate combining the multiple outputs from my Instruō Tš-L, amoungst other things.

Got the missing piece - MOTU 828 mk5

Using it’s 10 inputs on the box to multi-track 4+1 stereo groups from the main mixer.

This is where I’m eventually headed. I’m a newbie so I may need to ask your advice along the way. :grin:This is a powerful setup. I have both boxes but no immediate time to “play” at the moment.

Did you end up following through on this? I kind of gave up…

Handy widget, I have done the same but much less conveniently. Pair it with some attenuators, Ladik has one that’s dirt cheap.

I’m up for talking shop if I can help :slightly_smiling_face:

the DNII is new to me, the DTII less so as I owned the first.

the great thing about Elektron is once you’ve learnt one box theres a lot of transferability.

I’ve also only turned each box on twice since arrival due to life business so have set tomorrow aside :slightly_smiling_face:

I got this thing on Amazon for $29.99 to have my desk space for my synths and sequencer (no this is not a paid ad or anything like that). It’s incredibly well-built! I put my MIDI controller on it.

I just need a better desk so it slides under the desk and bam i have my “studio”.

Kind of, I spent a few days learning it, then had to put it aside due to travelling and work, I think I remember most of it but undoubtedly there will be a few head scratching moments when I get a chance to use it again

Caved in and ordered the Behringer Model 15. Damn you black friday. Intentions are to add some analogue warmth to my all digital FM-based synth setup. This will also fill my interface inputs completely so no more G.A.S. possible (who am i kidding?)

Nice! Just wondering if you could link this on Amazon please? Thanks.

I just edited the post with the link. Not sure if it works but I also put the product description to help. Its really solid, easy to adjust and useful.

Some pieces of MDF for speaker stands. Intention: Better sound and listening to a lot of music.

Cool, having a top mounter radial driver using a plant’s naturally perfect fractal distribution of leaves for speaker cones must make a difference.

Me: I want Digitone II!
Mom: We have Digitone II at home.
Digitone II at home:

Sometimes Mom is right. Moms hold up way more than half the sky.

I’d been looking for a sub-500 DN1, and ironically they are now available in profusion, because… there is this. I knew exactly what it would look like, but damn, it is cute. Not even sure where to begin. After playing through the factory patterns, and auditioning the presets, I will probably comb everything I can reach.

bought a Jackery power backup for when power goes out and to power synths on the go. Was 50% off sale on Black Friday Amazon and bought a second one. We are getting a lot more frequent power outages these days so good to have way to power refrigerator, lights and computer. Plus can use with synths on the go and have a truly portable studio. My dream is a road trip next year to national parks to play and record music and video outdoors in nature!
