Intention - getting immersed in this set up, using on their own and with overbridge to finish songs / resample from my laptop.
I sold my octatrack this week having got the Digitakt 2 to try out. For me and my way of working, it makes a lot of sense and I think it’s a really amazing box (neither is better or worse, respectively incredible imo)
The Digitone 2 is a very nice to have essentially, I look forward to getting into it. They arrived within close proximity of one another so I wanted to post now this duo is settled.
I’m landlocking my setup at the end of the year, software and hardware after some changes and learning this year, with an intention of finishing things and being prolific.
This is where I’m eventually headed. I’m a newbie so I may need to ask your advice along the way. This is a powerful setup. I have both boxes but no immediate time to “play” at the moment.
I got this thing on Amazon for $29.99 to have my desk space for my synths and sequencer (no this is not a paid ad or anything like that). It’s incredibly well-built! I put my MIDI controller on it.
I just need a better desk so it slides under the desk and bam i have my “studio”.
Kind of, I spent a few days learning it, then had to put it aside due to travelling and work, I think I remember most of it but undoubtedly there will be a few head scratching moments when I get a chance to use it again
Caved in and ordered the Behringer Model 15. Damn you black friday. Intentions are to add some analogue warmth to my all digital FM-based synth setup. This will also fill my interface inputs completely so no more G.A.S. possible (who am i kidding?)
I just edited the post with the link. Not sure if it works but I also put the product description to help. Its really solid, easy to adjust and useful.
Sometimes Mom is right. Moms hold up way more than half the sky.
I’d been looking for a sub-500 DN1, and ironically they are now available in profusion, because… there is this. I knew exactly what it would look like, but damn, it is cute. Not even sure where to begin. After playing through the factory patterns, and auditioning the presets, I will probably comb everything I can reach.
bought a Jackery power backup for when power goes out and to power synths on the go. Was 50% off sale on Black Friday Amazon and bought a second one. We are getting a lot more frequent power outages these days so good to have way to power refrigerator, lights and computer. Plus can use with synths on the go and have a truly portable studio. My dream is a road trip next year to national parks to play and record music and video outdoors in nature!
