Thanks! Now I have to rewatch your YouTube videos to get up to speed ![]()
Have fun with it! I’ve got a new tutorial about the Digitone coming up next month. ![]()
how does it compare to tape fiasco? i see it’s from the same developer and you just reminded me that u had fun with it
Both are good, kinda doing same/similar things.
Here is an update.
I personally like it, it’s fun. And they keep updating it regularly. Also you have tape fiasco for ipad now as well.
Welcome to the club, new user here for just over a week now your gonna love it ![]()
Considering my room size and needs I and after hearing them at a friends studio here I ordered this bundle coming tomorrow from G4M also grabbed a decksaver from Anderton’s for my Analog 4 MKII ![]()
Don’t touch it. The screen protector is achievement-locked. It releases automatically once the first truly magnificent pattern has been earned.
I know I already posted it but had such a a fun first go on this last night I came back. It’s a Great machine, well done Roland.
Scored a Yamaha PSS-11 in the original box including shipping for about $30. Supposed to be the first in the Portasound line with Advanced Wave Memory, which I believe means 8-bit (12-bit?) samples instead of FM. 12 voice polyphony. Runs on batteries. Sounds great in the videos I’ve seen. Like 1980s Italian disco. I’ll report back when it arrives.
My coworker has a lewis guitar. It plays really nice and the nitro finish is really cool.
The little Casio came. Super vibey and nostalgic when run through the SP effects. With the lofi samples it’s a bit of a poor man’s Mellotron, but definitely needs the effects. I wouldn’t recommend paying much for one, but if you happen upon a cheap one and have an SP lying around, I’d say give it a go. With some reverb and cassette sim the drums are pretty sick. Would work well for industrial and electro. The piano is great. Lots of good sounds. The fantasy patches are instant old school RPG. Too bad there’s no midi, but still good.
Never really liked the TB-03 interface, so I offloaded it and picked up the Roland TB-3 for acid duties. Also found a great condition EMU Proteus 1 for $80 in my area and couldn’t pass it up. Will implement it into some braindance tracks for sure. It’s actually much more capable than I thought it would be.
Novation Launch Control XL specifically for Battalion in AUM… Set up so far like this: Six tracks [I never need all 8] with Macro 1/Macro 2/Variation on the knobs, levels on the sliders and mutes on the top row of buttons. Last two columns are delay and reverb controls. Bottom row of buttons are stepped MIDI CC for the main performance depth control from 0-100 because 127 gets too much, and the bottom right button disables the performance control for instant return to the pattern. It’s a complete live performance station with just these two bits [or to a PA/audio interface with a PD hub].
Macro 1/2 are the secret sauce in Battalion IMO. I use it almost exclusively with homemade sample runs and the internal engine off, makes it into something between an Octatrack and a RYTM. Fun!
Look what I found, someone lost it.
My first pure Chase Bliss pedal. I wanted to order one from the last batch but it was too expensive to get it to Canada. I found this one for a very good price.
Intentions : Vocal processing among other things.
This video caught my attention :

Very low NRC overall but the whole room may sound better after emptying a few cans.
You’ll have some fun with that! Morphagene and Qpas are two of a few things I really miss from my modular adventure.
