Man, that Heat +FX is getting close. I can almost taste it. Just a few more on-calls, and the wallet is gonna hurt again.

I just want to say, I’m really happy with the key action of the SL88 GT MK2, but disappointed that there is a bug and the controller is sending two notes to the iPad and Simply Piano is not working properly :frowning:

Sadly this app has no configuration or anything, it just takes everything as it goes and can’t filter midi, choose channels, etc. Waiting for the support to get back to me “the Studiologic LAB” is taking a look :stuck_out_tongue:

This is a good purchase. What is the weight (approximate)?

1.36kg, similar weight like my macbook pro 14"
I’m really happy about this purchase. Charges fast and fits nicely in a smaller backpack, like a thicker book. :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s all coming from the system? Nice full sound.

You see Simian Mobile Disco’s Whirl album on KEXP? I’m getting that vibe here. Love it.

An option on iPad could be Mozaic, you can write your scripts and do the filtering. Of course it’s a worse solution than the manufacturer solving the double note issue, but at least you can have a plan B or C.

Was looking for an ART Pro VLA stereo opto tube compressor given their ‘cheap but great’ reputation when I stumbled on this - an ART TCS. It’s the same stereo opto circuit as the VLA in 1U together with a separate stereo VCA compressor, a gate/expander and the ability to chain the compression circuits in series. And even cheaper!

I’m by no means a compressor guru but after plugging this in I do not understand why it’s not more widely known. This thing sounds absolutely fantastic as a ‘colour box’ for crazy compression combobulations. No wonder Dave Fridmann et al love the VLA circuit. It’s a keeper.

Intentions are to experiment with sidechains and tube flavoured parallel brick walls.

Thank you! Yes all the sounds from my modular, just a light compression and eq from Ableton, nothing else.

I just checked Simian mobile disco, sounds nice, thanks. :slightly_smiling_face:

I don’t think it will work because you can’t host Simply Piano in AUM  it just takes the raw MIDI that the iPad receives.

The only solution would be a midi filter box imho and running it via midi cables.

i have kept both , because i cannot sell it for the price it’s going for these days but i don’t use it anymore ( it’s packed ) my daughter likes to play with synths i think i’m gonna pass it to her when she will be a little bit older.

Mmmm…. I am back with the DT OG.
I enjoyed the OT in a lot of ways. But between it an the DT, I just get it on and then get music done! OT I was such a mentally, stressed mess then, and would just end up lost in the sauce.

My intentions I’m just not going to work. I’m going to bang on the Digitakt ALL DAY!!!

Figured a huge FM gap in my setup needs to be filled, was also looking for a keyboard synth with good polyphony.

Opsix seems to be a hell of a synth!

Intention: Soundscapes, chords, FM-y stuff, recording samples and adding new timbres overall!
