What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 2)

Hold on to this one! I feel like this is a beast of an underrated modern classic. Even just the TR-8.

I just set up a piano practice station in my living room. I want to have an immediate place to just plunk and practice with no roadblocks, like it being in a case…

Saying that… I still have to set up my computer and get into the daw and set up an instrument after I choose from the 100’s of piano vst’s I own. Not ideal…

I need to go dawless.

So Im going to order a Yamaha Reface CP. I don’t own a Yamaha yet. And the reface series are amazing! And i love electric piano (rhodes, clav, whatever).

So Im going to put that up as a dedicated sound module on the second shelf. Immediate controls, midi to the SL88 hammer action. Speakers (yeah right… Presonos 3.5’s I got already for this practice station.)

Only thing left that I need is a metronome… Jesus Molina talks about always practicing with a metranome.

So I just ordered the Airia Compact T-8.

I dont need a click click click…

I want a boom boom boom.

… plus, you know… acid!

Yep I owned it a few days after it’s first release and sold it. This one is a keeper especially with the FM stuff. Gonna plug it in this afternoon and have a blast. I have a TD-3 MO here to sync up too see how they get on :grinning:

love my clarity M (stereo)

when live jamming to be able to glance over and look at the loudness radar is huge (especially over a longer time frame), and for mixing having the vscope, stereo correlation etc is soo handy.

Called Sweetwater as soon as they opened to get the Yamaha Reface CP ordered.

I spend so much there that my Sweetwater card is maxed out and couldn’t get the Reface decksaver and the piano.

They gave the decksaver to me anyways. So I got it almost half off.

Talk about a solid.

I’m gonna read up on it tonight mate before delivery tomorrow. I’m used to MPC’s but this baby looks just what I need for my setup. Gonna see if I can download the manual after dinner see what this thing can do :ok_hand:

I’d like to grab one of those sometime. Loved the Black Box when I had it, but ended up not needing it because of the Digitakt. This little guy would fit other drum applications for me.
