Will have two CDJs hooked up + RD-8 and Monostation on one channel and M:S by itself or maybe DT+M:S combo on the last channel. (Unsure of the DT for live use plus everything else…my peanut brain can only juggle so much at once!)
Allen & Heath DJ mixers sound so f***ing good. Plus I get an FX Loop and the master bus analog filter (after DJing for years with the Xone:23 I couldn’t live w/o it). Also no need for the crossfader as the channel faders are fantastic on their own. The per channel 3 band EQ are very “musical” for lack of a better term. These are mixers I can safely call an instrument.
I honestly don’t know how to read the schematics of the audio signal flow and the documentation doesn’t say specifically if it is pre or post fader. Here is a link to the manual, the schematics are on page 17. Which ever it is it is static, no way to change pre/post fade of the fx loop.
I did try googling a little too but couldn’t find an answer.
If I remember correctly, they are post fader as they (the effects loop) is always on and in the signal chain. Theres no way to skip the effects loop. Its been a while since I looked at these because I was wondering if the 43c would be OK as a poormans 96 for an ipad setup.
I sold a bunch of stuff when my car got stolen, the Digitone was the one thing I regretted selling, luckily the friend I sold it too wanted to sell it so I got it back!
It’s adjustable–they all are! So I brought down my lowest level a bit to match my chair height and to give it plenty of headroom (ha), since it’s the one I reach for a lot.
ordered my m8 tracker in march, was delivered two days ago.
My intentions? learning the lsdj style tracker workflow (especially tables etc. ) and using it as my new favourite portable music production unit.
Not really a “purchase” as it’s been given to me by one of my brothers, here is a Simmons SDS 8 drum synth, in all it’s 80s glory. Plan to make it sound as fucked up as it looks after way too many years stored in a wet and cold place hahaha.
