I’ve been wrong about “future classics” too many times to ever use that term seriously. But certainly some things classics have in common are:
- great build quality to hold up for decades in the second hand market
- a different approach or UI that is not so different that bigger companies just copy it.
- a different sound that is different enough to be identifiable, but not so different as to just be “noise” to the uninitiated.
And the Implexus checks those boxes. At least for me.
