The Boss GT-1000 Core. I didn’t know of it’s existence until I saw one for sale second hand. It’s the Boss flagship multi-fx pedal in a smaller format but with the exact same amount of dsp power as the big one. No corners cut on this one like they usually do on these scaled down models.
The best thing about this is that it’s actually even better than it’s big brother as it has stereo in. The GT-1000 only has guitar/mono in. This has most of the algorithms from the Boss 500-series in a similarly sized box but I can use delay, reverb and modulation all together on a single pedal and they’re more easily edited with the multiple encoders. I don’t need three separate pedals anymore. It even has my alltime favourite algo - the Boss Slicer.
Can’t wait to get it home at the end of this week.
Trade not purchase, but I joined the club…so far, I really like it. Size is better than the A4/AR mkii IMO (would prefer some tilt though) Doing more reading and watching than playing so far, but yeah, I like it. Even if it ends up as “just” a mixer + effects box it is super handy. I’ve never really done much with samples (preferred synthesis so far) looking forward to playing with it.
Yes, black track buttons make the mute modes a bit less confusing. Black trig keys are just there for the looks, as the DN just looks a lot sleeker in all black.
DN out goes into DT. What I put into the DN changes all the time, depending on what I want to sample through the DNs fx with the DT (op-1, guitar, vocals etc.).
I use a linnstrument 128 (not pictured) to control both the DT and DN, which is why I need the midi merger, as I also want to use the DTs midi tracks to LFO the DNs synth tracks, mostly using breath control as a macro control.
Amazing. Kind of gutted, black faceplate is the one I want too. Stupidly I wasnt keeping a close enough eye on Reverb. If you ever sell it message me first!!
I busted out the pedal and made angry noises to make me feel a bit better
