What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 1)

Very true. The BAM sounds awesome. After an hour of tweaking I find it very immediate in a good way. The modes are different enough from one another and the controls are very interactive, to the point where it almost feels like tweaking an analog pedal.

I haven´t had any interesting reverb pedals before and my reverb use ITB has been a bit boring so having a pedal with character and knobs to turn while recording and re-amping is an attempt to remedy the situation.

got a pair of Empirical labs Mike-E’s, (with output transformer mods added by factory). Kind of silver bullets for anything I need. Stereo master bus compression with some analog tape-like saturation flavor, adding iron transformer sound to synths, bass guitar DI, and of course, mic pres!

These aren’t inexpensive but was aiming to get best utility for money. I learned of the louderthanliftoff (all one word? I dunno) chroma+, which actually seems even more flexible and better bang for buck… but no ragrets.

I get the impression, on actual listening, that the chorus function is using it’s pitch modulation to add to the stereo field effect. When off the stereo effect is not so obvious to me.
I didn’t even listen to the Chorus mode, but it probably just kills the reverb circuit.

I bought a Warm Audio pre-amp recently, not as expensive nor as versatile with all those options, but I see buying more in the future. I feel like I’m getting that last 10-15% I’ve been searching for dialing in a synth sound for recording with a nice pre-amp.

How you like it?

I did the same, eta… June

Where are you located?

Baton Rouge Louisiana . I reached out to a few places. Noisebug should have a shipment in soon but wasn’t sure the exact time. I spoke to David at Kraft who in turn reached out to Vermona for me. He has me slated in the #1 spot for the next batch coming to the states.

I read this a Bull of Heaven at 1st. I’m like “god damn…how many records is that?”

I don’t know if you’ve ever seen this but this is why it takes time to produce those Fantastic sounding Synths.

Back from the metal fab. Got the buttons in. Just waiting on the joysticks and spinners. Sorry it’s not inherently musical

Thank you for that. I knew it was special but I didn’t realize how few hands are in the vermona factory. I appreciated the perfourmer and the drm but now it’s on a new level.

Judging by the increased posting in this room, I’m going to assume that some of you got those Biden bucks, aka Covid Cash.

Bought an Analog RYTM mkii. First bit of gear I’ve ever bought new, so Elektron finally get some money from me. My plan is to make, erm, bloop-bleep-boom-bap-boom-blurp noises.

It’s a great little synth with a big sound and terrific sequencer. It’s somewhat quirky but not in a way that detracts from it’s capability. Support is good from Norand and bug fixes have been quick to come.

it’s f*kin ace :heart::slightly_smiling_face:

Have fun with it. Make sure you don‘t accidentally tear down your place, the AR is capable of producing humongous kicks. If you feel the synth engines sound thin crank up that overdrive and get to know the compressor.

Exactly. When you realize the process behind a product and a little of the History of the company, the relationship between the Machine and yourself is quite strong and organic. I’m very proud to support Vermona and its Village. This video is an eye-opening one.
