for me — any mono synth.
I hope you get one one day
And sentimental too, Bristol boy.
Made in Bristol. Cant go wrong
The Desktop looks awesome!
For versatility and simplicity (as well as sounding damn good), the Nord Lead A1 may be worth considering.
Yup. Like pure Sci fi
That was on my radar for a long time
What do you mean with melodies? Simple sounds? Lead sounds?
No synth does melodies. You do the melodies… or a sequencer with some kind of pattern generation…
How about a take five. As opposed to a mono synth that you can trick into paraphony, it’d also do poly stuff, but sounds to me like it might do great leads as well
@sabana doesn’t like the Take 5 (in joke)
Lead sounds. Just a couple of hook lines.
Still gave him a heart though
Whaha okay strike that. Pretty on point of everyone the first 50 comments to not step on that landmine
The UDO then, but only if you record melodies with it and share them with us.
But whats the best melody for a synth?
Haha. If i get it will do.
Thats the easy bit
budget friendly option:
Korg minilogue (I just got one)
Does nice plucky sounds, doesn’t sound too harsh. Knob per function. Polyphonic (which I think is still often necessary for melodies). Just enough option too keep you interested, but not enough to be boring.
