I loved how this one sounded: Sasha & John Digweed - Renaissance: The Mix Collection | Releases | Discogs. It has all the same qualities as the one @Analogue5 described.
The @dBridge Fabric mix sounds incredible: D-Bridge & Instra:mental â FabricLive. 50 (2010, CD) - Discogs (the flow and the tone of it). The David Rodigan one has a particularly hypercolour tone to it, too.
The LateNightTales mixes tend to sound amazing. late night tales music | Discogs - particular favourites are the FourTet, Tommy Guerro, Cinematic Orchestra, Jon Hopkins, Nils Frahm, Floating Points. I suspect they make quite a lot of effort to get the mastering right. They always sound coherent and tied-together, without obviously hard compression. No mean feat when most of the contributors bring tracks from across the history of recording. Super slick.
From a sound quality perspective, this one’s “shit”: Robert Armani - Techno Mania - YouTube but it has such a joyous energy. Love it. Discovered at this Mixmag page compiling dozens of wicked old techno mixes: 48 of the best 90s techno mixes you can listen to online - Features - Mixmag. The Juan Atkins in Leeds one is startling for content.
(and another +1 for the infamous Conduct JDJ mix.)
