What synths would you recommend for these sounds?

Have a listen to these tracks.

I’m trying to create sounds similar to the feedback-type sound and the background drone/atmospheric sounds in these tracks.

What would you recommend?

Software and hardware welcome.

Would looping and filtering some EMF sources get me close?

EDIT: See 2 posts down for more specific details on which sounds I’m after.

Thanks

the first one sounds like a higpassed short loop in a sample that moves through the sample, I think I can do that with rytm and it’s pretty basic sampling capabilities.
not sure what you’re looking in the second one, the 16th bass part sounds like two osc voice with lfo on detune on one of them and filter envelope

Thanks.

In the first video, The sounds I’m interested in are:

  1. The initial feedback-type sound
  2. The background noise that fades in straight after the first feedback-type sound and continues to fade in up to 1:13.
  3. The background sort of held-chord sounds that comes in with the kick at 1:17 and stays the majority of the track with various filtering and modulation.

In the second video, The sounds I’m interested in are:

  1. The sounds that filters up from the start and continues throughout with various panning and filtering modulation.
  2. The chord type sound that comes in at 1:50 and fades out again by 2:12 and then comes back in again at around 5:16.

Nice Tracks! In particular, the second one (I really like slow evolving minimal Tracks). Thanks for sharing!

What gear do you have already? Most of this stuff seems pretty possible to make quickly on a digitakt with a noise or sine sample.

I have a DT2… and a laptop to sample from. That’s it at the moment… plus lots of noisy EMF/ambient samples, SCWs and some drums I like.

I haven’t actually used the DT2 yet (I know, don’t shoot me!)

I’m pretty sure a Digitone + any decent sampler can do it.
