What’s the point of the Analog heat?

I’m unashamedly an Elektron fan boy, I’ve got the original trio plus both analogs and a Digitone, I don’t much of an excuse to buy Elektron gear as long as it doesn’t overlap. But with the Analog heat I don’t really get it, is it just several distortions plus a filter and LFO? How useful is it really?
If it had a compressor and full fledged EQ I would be into that, something to add to the end of the Al audio chain to polish it up and give it some analog magic but it’s not so I don’t really understand the point of it, there are plenty of comprehensive and gnarly distortion effects out there so what’s the point of heat?
How do you use yours, what purpose does it serve to you and is it worth it?
