What is the correct way to receive audio from MD?

Hi !
So I am trying to receive audio from MD into my MNM.
I figured out that I can create FX through channel on the MNM.
Set it to receive the input from AB Input , Than trigger all the 16 trig keys and.now I can here the sound .

It sounded chopped to me and worst quality than the original so I understood that this one is because I need to put Decay , Hold and Release to be full on this track. After doing it it sounded much better but still don’t feel comfortable with what I get. Is it the correct way to send the audio ? Is there an alternative ? Like on Analog4 that just can receive continuous signal?

Put just a single trig on the first step of the FX track, and then set the track’s envelope parameters (hold, dec, rel) to maximum.

Send the MnM to MD instead. The input machines on the MD are a little better. IMHO
