Maybe start with your phone and see how it goes. If you want to spend some money then check the Sony ZV-1 out or something similar. 
Following through on the entire process (with the tools you already have) is probably more important than having the best equipment, at this point IMO. In English we say, “Don’t put the cart before the horse.” I think most of this community will appreciate “substance over style”…especially in this age of slick, meaningless shit. And, anyway, cell phone cameras are pretty good, these days.
