What gear would you like to see elektron do next?

I love for Elektron to make a standalone MIDI sequencer with a multitude of MIDI outputs in different formats.

They could just take the current sequencer stick it in a black box and give it loads of midi outs, maybe even a USB port so you can connect a USB hub to connect more devices via USB.

Maybe even give it a large screen.

I could see it do really well!

I hope so. I’m really quite disappointed with the wavetable (and swarmer) machines on DN2.

Analog heat mk3 . Multiple stereo or usb inputs and the fx from tonverk.

I would like to see elektron updating their existing gear instead of manufacturing new gear

We think alike.

Elektrons are like fine wine: buy the new stuff, put it in a cellar for a few years before the first sip.

We all do

Finish sorting my beloved Tonverk first.

Analog Eight. Can it have maybe 37 keys please, not those weird side keys like the DN keys. Put them in the normal place. And angled like a Sub37.

Dedicated additive synthesis and wavetables synth. DN2 wavetone doesn’t cut it.

this but with at least 6 inputs

It’s time for a major flagship, market is ripe and people are ready to drop big cash if the specs are right. Not sure Elektron can keep up with this shoeboxing strategy. Flagship A4/Rytm crossover with samples + analog/digital polyphonic engines + insert effects + clips matrix + new Digi features please! Elektron sauce all over. Cost no object!

I’d like to see Elektron upgrade and de-gimp their existing products. Make direct jump function available on the OG Digitakt, etc so it responds to a direct jump command from the AR2. Sidechaining for AR2. More effects and filter types on OG DT, comb filter, phaser etc.

Sounds nice but the money has to keep coming in I fear.

This! Bring Syntakt and Tonverk to their best.

Improving/Updating their existing gear would be my top priority…
… although a kind of Digitone II with four analog synth tracks wouldn’t hurt at all

From my point of view, Elektron should drastically reduce its product range: one Tonverk line and one Taktverk line, where the operating system is identical across devices, and only the hardware layout is adapted to the purpose of the product line. All features should be available on all devices. Personally, I would also be fine with paying again for certain software updates. Essentially, I would like to see an Elektron business model that combines the approach of Akai MPC and Bitwig, without losing the Elektron workflow.

My best device is Digitakt. With full love with it I bought an Octatrack mk2 to level up and it was too complex for my evening short sessions. So the main device is still Digitakt. But the Octatrack has one thing that is mindblowing, it is crossfade with effects. I didnt saw anywhere such convenient way to work with effects. Also my 4-years old daughter come every week to play with “bubble effect on that black box”.

So I see the new device is compatible with digitakt or digitakt XL edition or digitakt extender for effects. It may have one or two crossfaders and thats it. I also dreamed about 3 or 4 crossfaders but catch myself with overcomplexing. The pretty of one at Octatrack is simplicity and that it drives you be more creativy to use it properly. So fun to play and invent and pretty utilization for hardware. The utilization point is important for me and i don’t like when gear or features is unused and sell all rare used.

Also crossfade extender may work good between each elektron box. I use Digitakt with Syntakt and omg how many fun can I have mixing&effecting it in simple way with crossfade. You can say it is the task of Octatrack and may be wright, the only bug that connectivity take a bunch of time. In cases when user have only 30 minutes after work it kills creativity.

So the simple effects crossfade integrated in Digitakt or standalone is pretty good idea for me. Also it can be the feature of Analog Heat.

Will be happy with such stuff.

T-shirts for men, women, and transgender people (not more than that) with LEDs offering various ring colors around the Elektron logo, which would be in volume like the Public Enemy clock.
In the center, a small sampling mic, record and play, to have fun with your mom when you need to memorize the supermarket list.
With slice and Overbridge, but still with tomatoes and onions!!
That would be freaking fresh!

I would like to see a Elektron looper/mixer. It would have volume faders & crossfader. Multiple inputs to work as mixer for other stuff. Hands on control for looping & effects. Would look like a mixer but with Elektron touch. Usb host to connect other boxes to augment them seamlessly with the looper functionality & master FX. Basically what you can do with Octatrack but refined for looping & mixing duties with more hands on control and modern effects.
