What gear would you like to see elektron do next?

OT Mk whatever

What would you be looking for different?

As said by GUICTR and many others, an octa with some updated fx would be rad, and hot take, but analog form factor would be great, maybe some faders…

Seeing how the Syntakt just made me drop the Rytm, I can imagine a Digi format Analog 8. I’d love this.

+1.
but i suspect it would be really hot thing. i mean literally.

A poly analog in digi form factor would make me happy. Can’t see it happening though

I think itā€˜s long overdue for Elektron to release a granular synthesizer. Thereā€˜s nothing I know of that would be more fun than having 4 tracks of running a well made granular engine combined with the Elektron sequencer in Digi format. Though no overlap with any of their other products and complementing the OT in some regards.

Nailed it. WTF were they thinking?

Maybe they wanted it to look familiar to Netflix users?

Lol I thought it looked familiar.

Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure it’s what Elektron is preparing…

There’s absolutely no need to make things up, though.

Exactly this. It’s not necessarily all bad, though. I propose that improvements to interface and unique and creative recombination of established features be thought of as innovation as well.

Electronic musicians seem as caught up in the same hustle as with users of so many other products. Everyone loves the new. How many times do razor companies need to reinvent shaving? How many blades and lubricating strips/LFOs/machines with song mode are enough?
The ā€œinnovationā€ of music tech companies should be thought of differently from the innovation of artists, who (with talent and skill) can do much with very little.
My current musings include wishing Elektron did another signal processor (AH form). Four track FX sequencer with reverb/chorus/delay/filter/distortion, etc., etc.

I realise it’s unimaginative but (alongside OT3 with overbridge and maybe more in-out)… I’d buy AR3 which accepted an SD card to work around the tedious 1gb storage limitation. And I haven’t bought AR2 because of 1gb limit.

I’d really love to see elektron do a wavetable synth
I love digitone, but I’d love a digitone with user tables and phase distortion instead of an FM engine

Of course, it should be the mighty Digiloop - compact modern loop station, ableton killer, center piece of any live rig with:

8 stereo tracks
Fast workflow with instant recording to track in a tempo sync
Normal Sampler / Time Stretch / Granular / Looper modes for each track
New updated time stretch algorithms with distinct sounding modes like ā€œbeatā€, ā€œtextureā€, ā€œmelodyā€
Granular mode with some deep tweaking, file scanning, tons of grains
Unlimited memory on SD card to record, store, playback and mangle loops
Quality channel and send effects
Looper mode to record and loop input audio with special trig/rec conditions, ā€œintelligentā€ looping, glitch microlooping, magnling the inputs.
Elektron sequencer to record parameter automation for every sample / loop parameter incl. efx

Will sell like hotcakes, make us happy and safe on stage finally, make Elektron ppl rich and satisfied : ) Basically it’s 1010 Blackbox idea, mixed with Elektron workflow, ui and sequencer.

I’d like to see Elektron focus on sampling, sample editing, and sample sequencing next.

… an A4-flagship-like Digitakt (Stereo sampling, chorus, resonator) as well as Digitone (A4 sound design options like multiple LFO destinations) would be tempting …

… Edit: All this and so much more has become true with DTII and DNII …

A rice cooker.

Some sort of grill with an innovative sequencer

8 track flagship digitone+4 sample tracks. taking cues from m8 - filtered noise osc shapes, re-sampling.
cues from opsix - fx insertable per osc, more synthesis modes.
