What do you put on the mix buss? Mainly focussed on live use here, not about mastering a track…
I have a Strymon Deco that I love on the mix bus for tape saturation. I recently got an AH to join (mainly because of the EQ and filter, but also looking for some extra warmth). And now I am waiting for an Alesis micro limiter in the mail.
I plan on having the mix go through Micro Limiter > AH > Deco.
I do want to try different orders, but I don’t feel much like recording, plugging, recording, AB’ing etc…
and maybe I want to see if I can ditch the Deco now I have the AH, but I don’t think I will…
how does your mix bus chain looks like? and how do you use it? (crushing, gentle, general or song specific?)
