I post this, because I consider it a fantastic track to study how to build up a track with bringing in the individual elements, tension and release and slight variations. Especially the way the melody evolves in the beginning has caught my attention. Personally, I’d probably tone down the vocal sample a bit.

After my Neurosis week i’m deep into Sonic Youth at the moment ! Such a great bunch of weirdo, I love their aproach to tuning instruments, it can be very fun to apply to electronic stuff as well.

I don’t know if you’re familiar with Mark Broom, but he was/is pretty masterful at arranging elements, without resorting to vocal hooks.
