Glad you said yes because now I can perhaps point you to (IMO) one of the best, tightest ‘undiscovered’ funk basslines from the 70s - unless you’re already familiar. Regardless, such a tight groove it almost sounds sequenced! (oops, forgot the link):

One cool thing that happens quite often when I play my tracks to friends is they start name-dropping artists they think have a similar vibe and which I have never even heard of. Last week it was this track by Beverly Glenn-Copeland & Indigo Rising.
