The knobs on the MD are too low resolution. I’d like to be able to tweak things live without having to press down all the time. It would also be cool to have control over all 24 params of the current track without page switching. I have a controller that fits the bill, the BCR2000, problem is MD has no global channel afaik so I was wondering how anybody has handled this.
If there’s no way I’ll just default to hardwiring a scene to tracks 13-16 since I typically reserve them for control machines.
Edit: Does MD send sysex or something (maybe with the X firmware) when you switch tracks? If so maybe I could program my smart MIDI cable to do some magic…
Edit 2: As is tradition, I think I’ve solved my own problem and will be using the Digitakt to do live param tweaking of the Machinedrum. This solves the main problem and forces a simplification by controlling just one CTL-8P machine on track 16.
