This doesn’t work for every sample, but it works in many cases.
Put a copy of the sample how ever many steps after the hit that you want the pre-delay to be. If the sound has a hard percussive start at the beginning of the sample, move the sample start in a couple ticks. pLock the reverb up all the way and pLock the volume down to the level you want the reverb at. For most of my use cases this does a great job faking a reverb predelay.
edit: This works best with shorter samples. With longer samples you can fudge it a bit by adding a trigless-lock (or whatever they’re called now) to bring in the reverb.
