honestly… I thought that is what made it special?? I love black. But the visible text labels/logo is killing the whole vibe.
I was close to buying one. But this put me off… hm.
Also is this a cool synth for the buck? I’m not so sure. But I some kind of love it. But then again… I can afford it. But is it worth the price? Guess I first look on 2nd hand market. Not quite sure anybody who bought it would sell it tho.
I bought it last year but ended up returning it because of the little to no space between some knobs. Call me picky. This Synth, though, sounds fantastic! I’m not in the market for a 6-voice Polysynth right now (I’ve bought the Artemis recently) but this black beauty is calling me. I could even forget the spacing « issue ».
I just hit up Vongon about the usb c upgrade kit. They haven’t publicly announced them yet, but they do have some available. He just asked me to pay the shipping cost.
Got my black Replay this week. It is absolutely marveolus. Not just the sound, also the esthetic and formfactor. I own OB-X8, 3rd Wave and other highend synths and it’s nice to sit down with a more simplistic one once in a while. Good work Ryan!
Yes and no. It´s inspiring to have a synth that doesn´t do everything, but sound really good. On the other hand you can get more sound for the money with another synth in this pricerange. I like the sound and the formfactor - it is a nice looking synth and it is nice to play on it.
