Hi folks
Does anyone use the poly pressure controller function on the virus ti2?
It’s a mistery to me… but i’m think i should be able to switch the arp on/off from my cirklon. At least this is what i would love to do.
I have also a osmose form expressive e, would i be somehow able to use the virus like mpe?
Thanks
I think you should be able to fake MPE by loading the same patch on multiple channels, but don’t quote me on that.
Hmmmm oke, would be worth a try. But i’m mire intressted to be able to switch the arp on and from my cirklon. That would be ansome
a long time ago, I tried using MPE (or equivalent at the time ;)) with the Virus TI.
It can be made to work (same patch on different parts), but it wasn’t really practical,
I found I had to turn down the data rate quite a bit, otherwise the Virus would get upset by the amount of midi data being sent (so quickly)
Iirc, I also had to turn off the midi smoothing for it to keep up, but that had a few side effects.
result… I decided it, whilst it kind of worked, it wasn’t really something I wanted to use.
poly pressure controller - yeah it should be possible, you’ll find online the various messages it accepts. its similar to do doing with CC but where the ‘note’ is the parameter , velocity is value.
you’l have to make sure its in poly pressure controller mode rather than sysex. (can’t remember which is the default)
Thanks a lot. Yeah the mpe thing might not be the best idea. But the thing you said about the poly pressure messages was very enlightend.
