Hi everybody, l have a question:
My setup is a virus ti2, an octatrack and Analog rhythm. The OT is the master, all my inputs are full so my question I want to buy an analog 4 but how to connect it in my setup? Should I buy a mixer? I want to use my ti and A4 at the time maybe, connect those 2 synths in a mixer, connect the output of the mixer in the OT and connect AR in the last OT input?
What do you think?
Thank you.
You could run your TI through A4’s external inputs and do without a mixer.
Best,
Hans

I can confirm that A4 fed through TI’s external inputs (input thru, boost off, +5 dbV) sounds fine, probably indistinguishable from coming direct from the A4’s outputs.
If I use ti external input, how it works?
On my ti I work with seq mode part 9 to 16 are controled by the OT, the signal from A4 through a par of the ti?
No you do not want to be feeding the output of your A4 through any of the TI’s parts (unless you want to apply the TI’s FX to the A4s sound).
You simply need to use the direct through function of the TI, whereby any audio input to the TI is simply fed to the TI’s outputs.
In the TI’s configuration menu you can set the input sensitivity and the output level of the direct thru sound.
The TI is much the same as the OT in this respect, as on the OT you can also select external sounds to be fed directly to the outputs or go via a thru machine.

I’m going to try this way.
Thanks for all the answers
Hi
It works really well, my AR passe throught the ti, it sounds better than thought the OT for the reason but there is a lot of noise behind the mix. Do you have an idea to reduce it?
Thanks
You could try adjusting the TI’s input sensitivity. I find that +5 dbV works well with A4.
Maybe you need to change to +16 dbV for the AR.
It could also be some setting in the AR but as I don’t own one I can’t help you there.
