Very Basic Question!

First post. Hello Everyone.

Only hardware I owned before is the Roland TR8 which is brilliant and immediate but limited in sounds as it’s only a drum machine.

Bought a Digitakt and love it. After much reading and research I figured this is precisely the kind of machine I needed and it’s very fulfilling.

I am new to production so bear with me on my basic questions.

I understand the theory behind the LFO but how is this implemented on the Digitakt? How does it affect the sound and how does it connect? How do I know exactly which parameter will affect the sound in which way, i.e. apart from hearing it?

I think you should first familiarise your self with the impact different parameters have to the sound. E.g. by manually changing their values via the knobs of Digitakt. Then the LFO is just a way to automatically affect a particular parameter of a sound. E.g. the filter frequency (think of dubstep wobbly basses) or the pitch (vibrato or a siren effect).
