The good old (legacy) Elektron TM-1 is a class-compliant USB MIDI interface, which would thereby enable any DIN-equipped MIDI instrument into sending CV from the Outbox 8.
Model:Samples and Model:Cycles are class-compliant devices, so they work as well.
Also, since talking about class-compliant things it can be worth noting that while our main focus for audio streaming naturally are our Overbridge-enabled devices, for class-compliant audio devices we will try to support as many as possible - but we can’t promise all of them as we’re not in full control there.
i presume these offer what is already capable for an overbridge device
eg analog four outputs - main , 4 mono ,
syntakt - you can configure the existing overbridge outputs to the 8 box outputs & sytakt at the same time
e.g. stereo main, 12 mono, stero FX, stereo out for delay & reverb, external in
its not expected to allow additional delay, chorus etc as additional overbridge streams.
so people can easily check each overbridge app (click on the tape icon at the top ) to judge how we may want to configure to fit within 8 outputs…
and finally - can any details of tonverk overbridge outputs be released … ?
Awesome! I’ve been waiting for a power hub like this for ages. And Outbox 8 really cuts down on the cable clutter. …Not to mention the handy option to sort by sound instead of by device. …Now I have to rethink my entire setup. Thanks for the challenge!
I wonder how many power adapters I can actually use at the same time—Tonverk has USB-C, but then there are 5–7 other devices on my desk. We’ll find out eventually. Does anyone have instructions yet? …But being able to use three devices with a single power supply is already a nice improvement.
Btw, big thank you for releasing new stuff that’s backwards compatible, even back to MD and MM and works with class compliant usb midi. Really awesome Elektron!
