Apologies if this question has been answered. I’ve searched the web and a range forums multiple times and haven’t got it to work, the last time I bought one of these:
Has anyone done this and can give me an example of an adapter that works? Do I need to search for something more specific than just a TRRS—TRS adapter?
There is more than one version of TRRS, all you can do is figure out which one you have and either make something compatible or purchase one which is appropriate. There may be more than this, and I’m no expert, I just know TRRS isn’t universal.
For relaxed playing (not mixing/monitoring) I typically use Apple brand trrs earbuds connected with a standard 1/4” to 1/8” TRS adapter, has worked fine on DT, DT2, ST and I assume it works the same on the other Elektron headphone outputs.
That makes a lot of sense on a mountain of confusion. Many thanks to you! I might have found the right one on eBay with your help.
I wish it was that easy for me. Using the aforementioned adapters only transferred audio to one of the buds, or both when I put it in halways (unstable). Tried with OTMK1, A4MK1 & Digitone. I’m guessing it’s a pin connectivity issue. Thanks for the mention though.
