I have JBL 305 monitors and was hoping someone can help me out. I used to use a Focusrite but after selling it I went 1 year without an interface. Currently I just got the digitakt, and I was wondering how to optimize it for using in FL studio.

My old interface was affected by windows volume but the digitakt is not. I usually put USB to main (+12dB). What I am unsure of is what the volume should be on the back of my speakers and what they should be here. I used to leave windows volume at 100 and only use the focusrite knob as output control.

I just used to compressor and every other setting was fine, but I made the release too short and the speaker just CRUNCHED and scared me. I also find everytime I produce exclusively on digitakt I don’t have anything to reference for volume so I don’t know when it is overdrive being overdrive or my speakers slightly clipping.

Can I leave this bad boy on for like 9 hours just as an audio interface? I know the screen goes to sleep but is it on for too long or something? I just want to seamlessly transition between laptop producing and Digitakt producing (before I get into overbridge).

Why can I not change the latency on the Digitakt like I could for focusrite or asio?
TLDR; Should I keep the main volume knob on max and the USB to main at 0? What do I pick from +6/+12/+18 and what do i set the monitor knob at the back of my JBLs to out of 10?
Would appreciate any help I just wanted to get back to it on my week off but feel super unsure.
