Using Analog Rytm Mk2/Overbridge to control other parameters in Ableton

Hi there,

I’ve recently started using OB and love how the VST enables automation from Ableton to effect the Rytm, but I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to use the Overbridge for audio as well as using the Rytm’s encoders to control parameters within Ableton.

Does anyone know if there is any way of mapping a parameter (say the release of the amp envelope section of the LT channel in Overbridge) to another parameter (say the reverb send on a channel on Ableton), effectively mapping the two parameters to each other?

This would be great in a live situation, where one of the Rytm’s channels could be sacrificed to allow control over macros in Ableton, or could even allow FX and cueing of individual channels - with the Rytm’s per channel Reverb and Delay send parameters controlling the R&D sends on Ableton instead.

Any help would be massively appreciated

I’m using Overbridge for separate outs in Ableton and I have midi mapped the reverb and delay knobs on all tracks on the Rytm to the respective reverb and delay sends in Ableton. The “encoder dest” setting under midi config->port config needs to be set to int+ext and if I remember correctly the “output to” needs to be set to USB. In Ableton you need to open the preferences and the “link/midi” tab and set “remote” to “on” for the Rytm. Then you click “midi” in Ableton (upper right corner) and select the parameter you want to control and then touch the knob you want to control it with on the Rytm. Works very well for me
