I think the push action is exactly it, coupled with the fact that they’re not mechanically connected to the faceplate. So over time the strain is passed to the PCB and the connections start to fail, sooner than they would with more traditional-style knobs that only see rotation.

On the other hand there’s something really special about those circle shaped mk1 buttons… they’re a joy to work with, really

Does the new rotary knobs on the MK2 give higher precision for sample start/length or is the same as MK1 1-127?
