Update

got my OT few days ago but cant update it. i put the file on card open up update no file found. then i use c6 manager but it dose not recognize it i have no problem with machine drum update

What version of OS do you have now?

1.25E

I had the same problem a few months ago trying to upgrade from 1.25E to 1.25G in my PC with Windows XP.

In my case I resolved as follows:

1 I perform a backup of all my archives of Octatrack on my PC.
2 I format the OT card.
3 Again I copy all my files in the OT from my backup, even with the OS 1.25 E.
4 After disconnecting the USB cable following the instructions, I turned off the OT.
5 I turned ON the OT, connect the USB cable and install the new OS 1.25G.

I think everything was due to some fault of the card, since I format the card has not returned to give me more trouble.

The good news is that v1.25E is what the cool kids are using, well, thats what I tell myself so you should be fine with that.

I’ll state the obvious… for upgrading on the machine, use the .bin file, for upgrading via C6 use the .syx file.

a) What version are you trying to upgrade from v1.25E to? You only want to upgrade to the latest, v1.25H if anything.

b) You have put the OS into the root folder of the card/drive? You should have a binary file
called X:\DPS-1_OS1.25H.bin (where X is your external drive)

c) Can you load samples etc? Lets just rule out that its not a card/demo issue.

If none of the above helps, I’d take E-PHEM’s advice above and do that process.

i only got it so i taught it is incontinent to update. seems to be working fine. i only have one problem or i do not understand ill post later its noting to do with update
