I’m more of a Microwave XTk and 3rd Wave sort of person when it comes to visuals, but I absolutely LOVE the way my Gemini looks. I didn’t really consider the appearance that much when I got it. I just wanted a synth with its features, keybed, sound. But when it’s sitting in front of you, it’s different in some way. It’s absolutely incredible, color scheme and all. But then, being someone that likes the way the XTk looks, I guess orange doesn’t really put me off.
On the other hand, I’m not into the orange and black scheme like on old ARPs that much.
I do REALLY like the SEM style on this. It’s almost like OLD Modal + OLD Oberheim mixed together, which is a really intriguing look.
It looks incredible, but I’ll be keeping my Gemini, unless I decide to go keyboard version of 3rd Wave. I would love for someone I know to grab one of these Domino things though
I think all of their synths look absolutely incredible. It’s so nice that they’re not making everything black by default! And they’re using sliders a lot.
Luckily, their synths are always way too big for me to even think about them.
All of this is controlled via the best screen we could find: a beautifully sharp, yet somehow warm and organic, high-contrast electroluminescent glass vacuum fluorescent display (VFD).
I’m not sure I understand the concept of the filters, is it like on the Redshift 6/ Neutron Flux Filter where you can reconfigure filter response curve? That would be amazing.
I don’t think it looks as good as my Super 6, but that is my favourite looking synth I own. Going to seriously look at selling some stuff to fund one of these. Can’t wait to hear more demos of this.
