U-he Diva in Hardware format?

My fav VST is Diva. Can’t really explain why, mostly the lush leads and pads. Ie.

*Diva captures the spirit of various analogue synthesizers by letting the user select from a variety of alternative modules…

Now I’m wondering; what hardware synth comes the closest to this sound pallette?

Isn’t Diva a combination of elements already taken from classic hardware?

At the moment, I’m sampling U-he synths into my AR. The results are great once you add some FX to widen the signal.

yeah thats what im doing as well! Using the autosampler of the Force. bit of a hastle since i have to connect midi to Focusrite but it works.

Roland System-8?

I’m a great fan too of Diva and any U-He products. My guess is Osmose will be (someday ?) a great HW alternative, especially with MPE.

I thought Diva was supposed to be Prophet-ish, but with a lot of extra filter etc options?

It features Elements from Roland Juno, Jupiter8, Minimoog, MS20 and Oberheim.

No prophet. That would be U-he repro and repro 5

I do like.the rev2 sound a lot as well yeah.

Arturia Origin I think.
This hardware synthesizer have many emulations of filters and oscillators to choose from.

Diva would be tricky to make in a hardware format simply because of all of the component switching going on. I think Urs did have some type of prototype controller for it at a show a while back but I don’t think it ever got to production. There is this however for Launch Control.

Diva is a chameleon and gets a lot of use from me for just about everything. Amazing soft synth. I can’t wait to finally get my hands on Zebra 3 as well but at this rate I’ll have to pass my Zebra license down to my son to make use of. It’s been in development for ages. :eyes:

Why do you have to connect midi to interface? I tried auto sample one Mpc one and never got it working right but wanna get it working with the force myself edit .

It uses midi messages to send the notes so it only worked when I used force midi out to audio interface midi in

Looks pretty damn cool, haven’t heard of it before and can’t find it for sale anywhere.

As previously mentioned, Diva allows you to mix and match the different components of classic synths together. You can choose several different oscillator configurations, like a Juno, and have it run through a classic ladder filter (Moog). It sounds so good because of the painstaking and exhaustive development that UHE puts into their products. I read an article where they even went as far as comparing waveforms from the Diva and various analog synths to help tweak it. Pretty cool stuff. I’d say that you’ll want to look for a synth that allows you to switch the type of oscillators, envelopes, and filters being used (maybe Waldorf had something close to it). Or you could also sell a spleen and grab a bunch of eurorack modules that are clones/replicas of the different type of circuitry found in those classics. Simply lovely VST though, as is all of UHEs products. They’re one of my absolute favorite software (and now hardware) companies.
