Diva would be tricky to make in a hardware format simply because of all of the component switching going on. I think Urs did have some type of prototype controller for it at a show a while back but I don’t think it ever got to production. There is this however for Launch Control.
Diva is a chameleon and gets a lot of use from me for just about everything. Amazing soft synth. I can’t wait to finally get my hands on Zebra 3 as well but at this rate I’ll have to pass my Zebra license down to my son to make use of. It’s been in development for ages.
Why do you have to connect midi to interface? I tried auto sample one Mpc one and never got it working right but wanna get it working with the force myself edit .
As previously mentioned, Diva allows you to mix and match the different components of classic synths together. You can choose several different oscillator configurations, like a Juno, and have it run through a classic ladder filter (Moog). It sounds so good because of the painstaking and exhaustive development that UHE puts into their products. I read an article where they even went as far as comparing waveforms from the Diva and various analog synths to help tweak it. Pretty cool stuff. I’d say that you’ll want to look for a synth that allows you to switch the type of oscillators, envelopes, and filters being used (maybe Waldorf had something close to it). Or you could also sell a spleen and grab a bunch of eurorack modules that are clones/replicas of the different type of circuitry found in those classics. Simply lovely VST though, as is all of UHEs products. They’re one of my absolute favorite software (and now hardware) companies.
