I recently finished watching “the great” on CH4 in the UK. The tag line is “an occasionally true story”. It’s very amusing.

If you don’t mind subtitles, I’d thoroughly recommend Gomorrah. I couldn’t watch anything for around 6 months after it.

Im on season 3. Heard about it from an interview with director Isabella Eklöf who took over in the middle of season 2. Great show!

I watched The Leftovers this summer. I liked it very much.

Thank you for starting this. There was one that got locked (reason escapes me) so this is a welcome return.

Im sad Curb your enthusiasm is over. Feels like I lost an old friend. Pretty pretty not good

Watched this last week. Very good. I rewatched Sopranos earlier this year so still had it in my mind. It was interesting to watch it in my mid 40s with kids on my own compared to when it was aired. Relatable on another level.

Letterkenny.

I noticed it’s up on Netflix here now as well. Sort of like a real world southpark but not as wierd/gross kind of humor
Perfect show when you need to just laugh and let go of a bad day at work.

Mr Inbetween. Australian crime drama/comedy, available in the UK on Disney+ of all places.

Seems very few people have heard of it, but it’s a gem and it’s worth sticking with. Only 20-something half hour episodes over 3 series. Unusual black comic tone, mixture of laughs and dark reality of violent criminal life. That might not sound highly original, but I really thought this one stood out. One of my all-time favourite shows, still thinking about it all the time, months after I finished watching it.
