I just figured that in Performance mode, while pressing a pad that is assigned a Perf macro, one can lock the effect of the pressure on the pad by switching to another page (Scene, Mute, Chromatic).
Press any pad while on Perf page to release it.
It’s rather useful, so I’d see that as a feature.
But I haven’t found anything on this in the manual.
there’s a few ‘change mode’ ‘hold’ tricks if you search back in the forums - i think we all treat it as a feature, but maybe it ain’t, sure would be a fuss if it was fixed !
Fairly certain it is a feature, as the Perf light shows dim but on when you navigate to the other modes.
It’s signifying that a Perf or multiple Perfs are active, the same as if you leave a Scene active when switching to other modes, the Scene light shows dim/on.
it (dimming) would be needed to denote that an external controller had set performance levels above zero - so it still may be a happy accident that this was intentional ux behaviour imho - doubt it’ll change or be documented as a feature although I vaguely recall some official line on this !
@avantronica I have looked for this, before and again after you post this message, but I cannot find anything on the subject, even with google…
If you ever find the posts your talking about, please leave a link to the original thread
@AdamJay I have to try this with multiple Perf at the same time !!
I hadn’t figured you could use several Perf macros at the same time, this will make it easier to program my macros, thanks a lot !
This hold trick is really cool, I hope it is a wanted feature !
