Track challenge : Ryan Cowbells

There might be better sounds, might be cooler sounds, fresher, whathaveyou. But I doubt there’s any other percussion that holds the universal sentimental fondness that is the cowbell.

Thx @coreyappleby

Re: the file I dropped above : you can load the song, have it running while messing with Fn + filter width, SR or LFO depth… Kits will automatically reload when patter change, but you might reload them with Fn+Classic

Have fun !

Hey friend, it doesn’t seem to work unfortunately… Mind looking into this ?

@Callofthevoid my dear… Mind setting your track as downloadable ?
I’m not comfortable with streaming from work, but I love to listen this playlist again and again during the day ^^

Great track! Plenty of cow bells

Edit: And this really makes me want to have an MD…

OK. Here goes:

Monomachine, one take recording, no processing. Glitchy as, but I really wanted to get it in before the deadline and am very time-poor at the moment. Hope you enjoy!

Edit: Oops. Forgot that one sneaky BD turned up for a bit…

:elmm: :cb:

Holy cowbell! You actually did it! MnM cowbell only with a VO saying “more cowbell”(except for the BD for a bit)

I’m mighty proud of you, sir! Great job!

Cheers! It just reminded me again what kind of sonic potential the :elmm: has, and made me dive so much deeper into it. Glad that you can decipher the VO - my wife rejected any suggestions of the sounds approaching anything like “more cowbell”

It helped that I knew the intention. You have better skill with that engine than I do(which, I think I’ll test out the practice words from the MnM manual now that you bring it up)

Yep, I think that’s called “priming”

Glad you dig this

Stacking 3 FM cowbells gives really good chords, I find.
In general, looking for more weird with MD leads to unexpectedly good results !

Don’t hesitate to download the sysex and twist further the sounds !
