there’s no ‘start’ parameter for multi-sampled instruments, if that was what u were asking
ok, as an alternative, can I randomize the velocity and make every velocity layer the same volume, so I audibly “fake” alternating startpoints inside multisampled synthloops without using dynamic processing ?
This would also be helpfull to create analog feel drumkits with varying samples per same drumsound…
Examples: create a multilayered supersaw with alternating samples per note, or a TR 909 kit with alternating samples per noisy drumsound (snares, claps, tom attack, bd attack).
yeah you could if you set up and multi-velocity-layer auto-sampled a patch with different start times for different velocity values.
using round-robins makes more sense, and is what I use to get more organic synth multi-samples. but it requires getting familier with the way TV uses SFZ or emulti configs, and is a chore to do.
there’s also many ways to make a patch sound more organic using the fx. there’s a vibrato setting, with modulation, built into the multi-sample player. chorus, reverb, flanger, phaser, short ping pong delay, freq-shifter all can be used to shift the sound around. but it won’t be per voice.
I wish there was a way to detune each voice of a track independantly, that would be really cool
wait… you can LOL
wait… you can also modulate the vibrato speed of each voice independantly… wtf i love tonverk
How do you detune each voice ?
Can you create a supersaw this way ??
HOLD mode LFO with RANDOM shape assigned to tune or vibrato speed for multi-samples. you wanna use a high speed and avoid two notes triggering at the exact same time, otherwise they will both pull the same value off of the LFO.
you can kinda get supersaws but it’s not real unison, unless anyone has any other ideas
wait actually you can get proper unison if you put another LFO to pan voices independently and also manage to set multiple trigs for a single note, but the only way i can do this is if I use a midi keyboard at the same time as using the TV keyboard to hit the same note. idk how I could sequence this.
No, and I don’t even have a Tonverk yet ![]()
Supersaw are multiple saw waves detuned up and down from eachother triggered at the same time for the same note, so you are stuck with using a certain detune for a whole preset patch and make multiple detune sets of multipled supersaws, which is not a problem for the autosampler.

I’m going to sample this vst, which sounds better than my JP8080 ever did.
LFO pitch wobbles etc are fine to use, aswel as unison multiplying stereo panning, but that specific metalic sound with that waveshape is pretty unique in combi with the detuning.
Can we use round robins for Multi sampled instruments on the Vorwerk ? that would be easy to do, instead of having velocity layers (which I often don’t use). Using velocity could still apply to round robin’d multisamples, incl. dampening/velo-vcf controlling. But maybe that still is a wishlist item for now.
Oh man, I can’t wait to get this machine home !!!
yeah but it’s an absolute nightmare to do atm. you can’t do round-robbins with the on-board autosampler, you have to create the patch on a computer and then import it. there’s code involved with the configs that has to be just right otherwise it throws errors. you can’t even troubleshoot the errors anymore since they decided to encrypt the diagnostic files.
there’s some tools that other forum members have created but idk if anyone has a tool for round-robin velocity-layer multi-samples with faded loop points working yet
So today I tried using a mod envelope on volume to do sidechaining on a single track, setting amp volume as target, with a negative modulation value and using trigless locks. But I cannot hear it doing anything on the yellow trigless trigs, only on the red note trigs. Just wanted to verify that the modulators work with trigless trigs/locks?
I’ll vouch for MESET
You just drag and drop the multi-samples from your SFM folder and it automatically organizes them into a single .wav and makes the .elmulti file. All you have to do after that is click export and move it over to the TVs SD card.
I wonder if anyone can help me. I’m trying to re-create a particular stereo widener effect that is common in different DAWs. Different examples include Xfer’s Dimension Expander, Ableton’s Phaser-Flanger set to “doubler”, FL’s Fruity Flanger set to the “Ultra Fat Chorus” preset. I think this kind of effect works by producing a really short “flanged” delay with some feedback, but I’m not sure how to achieve this on the TV, as the “infinate flanger” doesn’t sound like it’s actually doubling/delaying the audio signal.
Like a short haas delay?
This is achieved by hard panning the same sound left and right and offsetting one of them a few ms
yeah kind of, its like a haas delay with a modulated delay time and feedback. maybe i can use a comb filter
Found this online : It is comprised of four choruses that are staggered by a variable delay amount. Half of this signal is then flipped out of phase to create a more complex result.
Sounds pretty hard to re-create but maybe a souped-up chorus could be implemented as an effect later
man i’ve pretty much nailed it with the comb filter. pretty sure those four delay lines that Xfer use are basically just to produce two stereo signals which each contain modulating peaks/valleys of interference - essentially just two comb filters panned, and the TV comb filter let’s you detune L and R, so it’s basically the same thing.
So have just have a comb filter with slow modulation using the SPD and DEP controls, FREQ is around 64, but adjusting up and down is exactly like setting the “size” knob on Dimension Expander, feedback under 10 but more if you want something interesting, and then a random shape HOLD LFO on the DTUN.
It sounds so good…
wow it even maintains non-interference when collapsed down into mono, just like Dimension Expander… wtf i love tonverk
Check out this video, you need a positive value for the env to work:
post some audio if you feel like it
Make TV your master clock. You’ll be fine. The last thing to be fixed on the clock front is midi clock in, midi out and USB in/out work now.
The slight audio latency people refer to is affecting sound coming into TV from the inputs. Someone said it’s about 10m/s. This affects ‘live play’ not auto sampling. Zero likelihood this won’t be resolved. You can also get around it now if you have midi clock adjustment available.
You’ll want to sequence on TV not externally tbh, just sending notes from elsewhere won’t get the best from it. You also won’t have enough tracks on DT to service more than 2 full subtracks. Having used it since release I’d say its proper place is as the primary device in a setup rather than as a sample player in a wider setup.
