Anyone having issues with project loading and parameter locks disappearing? Specifically on sub tracks my p-locks don’t load for loads of steps.
I wouldn’t say tricky, but tedious as all get out
lol
this is something I’d expect to see given it’s such a good QOL upgrade on the IIs
Lack of trig previews is hard to wrap my head around, it’s such an essentially part of the p-lock workflow.
Unfortunately no. Only pattern length and tempo
Argh. Hope it’s on their list. After all, it is no takt but a melodic instrument per design.
So far IIRC A4 had it and OT (for Midi tracks). That makes some things so much quicker. Like with the MMT-8. This one could not do so much - but it was musical in that way. (Song mode with mute states and transpose for tracks that had transpose set to on.)
Still waiting/hoping for Behringer to finally clone the Arp Sequencer (for programmed microtonal transpositions). ![]()
Transposition I can understand eventhough it would be nice to have (if possible to select the tracks being transposed) but not being able to set up the mutes feels weird because all the digis (og & mkii) have it…
As for the lack of mutes in song mode, it may be somewhat difficult to support subtracks. Not technically, but in terms of user experience and UI aspects.
I hope we won’t have to wait long for that. That’s one of my biggest pain points so far.
Right now you’d have to duplicate the track. One 100% wet and one dry. Not ideal but definitely workable for one or two tracks in the pattern.
Perhaps selected save states then (would be like scenes). Could UI wise all be brought under the save memory and retrieve memory button functions.
In song mode: nested mute states. If there are subtracks on a track, just enter it to set those mute states.
Right now there is a mute function available for performance (globally?). Would be sufficient for starters to implement this in song mode. ![]()
I’m not really hearing the polyphonic LFOs , I made sure I’m in polyphonic mode , not polyphonic mono lfo.
At least they aren’t that apparent , I don’t seem to get the nice cascading effect like on my other synths
Anybody noticed it ?
I would just like being able to mute the track hosting the subtracks then, it would be enough for me
LFO keytrig turned on? Else it won’t retrigger per voice.
I’m afraid that’s exactly how the Elektron will handle it.
It’s just not ideal when you want to mute/unmute individual drum sounds in a subtrack as part of the song flow.
We’ll see. 2027-10-04 same place same hour? ![]()
Do you mean key trigger in the mode setting of the lfo ?
That doesn’t seem to make any difference whether they are poly or not ?
Doesn’t the poly or poly mono differentiate how they act in trigger setup ?
Who says that and what’s the proof?
I’ve seen less than 10ms latency on the imx8 platform, which is the one used in Tonverk.
I would guess so for the poly part, but key trigger is generally used to get this cascading effect on ‘real’ polysynths
Otherwise they’re just free running and tend to not go out of sync much which is why the cascading is really understated without key trigger. (and yes, key trigger in the mode setting)
imx8 is a “meta” series,. there are several sub- series of IMX8 devices, so a large number of actual boards, it would be interesting which device you are referring to.
I guess the discussion was most about linux audio, imx8 devices can use other operating systems, or be run bare metal too.
That post has some info, you can follow upwards to the one that says no less than 20ms
I was only a consultant on this project, and it’s some time ago, but I believe it was NXP i.MX 8M Plus.
