is there an option for mutes per pattern?
setting mutes in song mode would do the trick, but then again, song mode doesn’t seem to follow transition mode (i.e direct jump)
am i hopefully missing something?

Purple mutes ? Hold Mute and select mode with up/down arrows.
great, thanks! missed it somehow
a bit inconsistent with the other trig modes menus but it’s good it’s there
The width parameter on the busses and sends is becoming my new favourite sound shaping tool. Working outward from mono is my new strategy.
I also missed that these came with an update, but then I noticed the down arrow is lighted purple when you’re in mute mode. Knowing purple mutes are pattern mutes on digis, I first thought I discovered a hidden feature that hasn’t officially been announced yet. Of course it was, but it felt like a rewarding moment of “once you know Elektron, you’ll understand”. Just another example of how good they are in UI design!
The official user manual uses « Magenta » to refer to the pattern mute.
I also use Purple as a reminder for Pattern mute, similarly as Green for Global mute.
How are people using the Tonverk with external
FX?
Just got hold of the TV as figured it is right in my wheelhouse liking ambient, textured music. I have been experimenting with sending the CD outputs into external FX chains (for example TV - SP404 - Tascam Porta 02 - Qi Etherealizer - back into Tonverk). The chain then comes back into TV inputs.
I have then routed the output of each track to CD. This works but there is a noticeable volume jump, I need to adjust the master down to about 15 to make it work, so guessing I might be doing something wrong. It also means I can’t really route individual tracks without bringing their level right down as they will be much louder than non routed tracks. Also, once I route tracks to go out via CD I assume I also lose the ability to send them to a bus? (Again unless I am misunderstanding)
I might be jumping the gun and would be better just having Tonverk solo for a while or paired with just one other instrument coming in, but figured I’d see how people are using it here, and am I doing anything wrong?
Which is true !
Red + Blue, additive synthesis.
IIRC on previous Elektron RGB leds gear purple is mentioned in manuals, anyway it seems to be the most common way to describe this color here. ![]()
I briefly had my UAD golden reverb on a send and didn’t notice any volume disparities, I just adjusted with the A/B input levels once and then controlled with the send levels. Didn’t bother in the end though as the quality gains over the built in reverbs was minimal.
Wait - you’d be better off routing one of the FX outputs to CD, then send to this FX from the tracks.
I’m with you on this. Much prefer per track by default!
I was using mine with an ALM MFX pedal. I’m now running mine through some modular. I run audio out into a module that will handle line level and then back into the TV inputs for sampling.
Check the HP mon and levels coming in on track 16.
Advise please ! , I’m considering buying a tonverk next week ?
I’m aware of some initial Midi sync issues with tonverk ?
Has this been addressed in firmware updates ?
There’s some inbound audio and midi latency. Not a problem if TV is sending clock and audio is not routed through it. If routing audio through it, best to have it receiving clock.
Is there a way to just clear p-lock of a specific parameter on all trigs in a track?
I tried pressing in the encoder and hitting no in live recording mode to overwrite the value with 0. While it works but the repetitiveness of hitting no is silly and it now lock the value to 0, which isn’t what I want to achieve.
Another way is to memorize the pattern before p-locking in live recording mode and if I want to redo it I can just hit recall. But it feels like a workaround.
What’s the purpose of Post FX pan control? I’ve been wondering that since the day they added it.
I totally forgot they added that, it’s kind of hidden away!
I guess if you were being especially picky on stereo field it would be useful?
Not that I’m aware of. You could go to the Sequence Lane menu and change to p-locks and clear them (without clearing notes) but you’d clear all p-locked parameters. Or you cloud of course clear individual p-locks on a per step basis.
Having a clear function for one parameter across all trigs seems like a solid feature request.
Can be useful to route to a single output with fx.
I use it when I send out multiple mono tracks to an interface or another piece of hardware. It prevents that track’s FX from bleeding into the other track of the AB, CD, or EF output pairs.
