I’m finally building up a sizable multi-sample library and I’m having a harder time navigating the list of “instruments.” Does anyone know how that list is ordered? Any tips on keeping it navigable and orderly?
I just use the computer to organise the files in to subfolders on the card. I’ve described how I sync the card with the computer in this thread.
A silly thought, I know, but I just used the Autosampler feature for the first time, sampling some of my favorite Ableton presets and VSTs into the Tonverk and I think I’m in heaven. This thing is just amazing!
Nice! I’m dedicating time to do this later today. I’ve yet to test the feature on Tonverk. But I loved the results from multitsampling on mpc live II. Though I wasn’t a fan of the ui and workflow in general back when I had that device. Tonverk so far, feels right at home.
Pardon if this has been asked before, but anyone using the OXI E16 with the Tonverk? I’m not getting my TV to respond. If someone has this up and running, you don’t need to explain how, but if you could confirm I will continue my efforts. ![]()
Are you using usb or midi cable? If midi have you definitely got a midi type A cable.
If you search the site there’s been a bit of chat and advice on this elsewhere.
Try this
USB, but thanks for the reply and the link!
Is the E16 a midi host? If it isn’t, Tonverk isn’t either so that’s probably it and you want a midi cable.
That said I had a neuzeit drop and could never get that to control Tonverk via usb but the 5 pin worked fine. Try it with that.
haven’t updated yet, but wavefinder seems cool as hell!
i know i’m in the minority here, but there are a fair number of specific bugs and broken functionality issues that i’d like to see addressed before more features are added
until then i can only (unintentionally!) rage-bait beta testers into some vague crashout-coded reassurances that these bugs/issues are things elektron are at least “aware of” lol
I’ve been struggling with losing lots of subtrack sample assignments, so have started to save them as presets. That way if you load the pattern up again and the subtrack has been nuked at least you can restore everything as it was.
Hope a OS drop comes this week, confidence in the machine is much lower despite the epicness of that last update in terms of features added
the subtracks machine is so thoroughly broken that i’ve been just totally avoiding using it (which sucks because i very much want to!)
the dissonance between its potential and its actual bug-ridden (non)functionality never fails to reveal itself within like a minute of trying to use it
i hesitate to mention things like this because elektronauts is the only place where i will get yelled at by the most amount of middle-aged men since i’ve been in high school lol
I’ve been multisampling Ableton drumracks too and it may be overkill, but arpeggiating or sequencing a drum multisample instrument in a single (polyphonic) track is really fun. I’m having a blast.
Did you check 1.30 release notes ?
A LOT OF improvements and bug fixes…they worked hard on bug fixes, probably much more that on Wavefinder.
I’m in the new features + bug fixes camp, very pleased to have Grainer and Wavefinder, Arp with Random and Plocks…etc…bringing Tonverk to much more interesting sound design territories…along with QOL features matching DIGIs workflow…
And they updated Syntakt in parallel!
Bug fixes only would have been boring for me.
i did
i agree- most of the fixes were for bugs i wasn’t even aware of lol
a lot of fundamental functionality is still broken though!
a bunch of my projects are missing their subtrack samples since upgrading to 1.3, is there a way to get them back?
um this is one of the reasons why i haven’t updated yet ![]()
Wait for 1.3.1.
sure, but introducing bugs that cause work to be lost nets out as a negative in my book
wait is there really no way to fix my projects
Maybe I’m misunderstanding. Could you not just assign the samples to the subtracks again? Not ideal, obviously, but does that get you back up and working?
