@verdurin: Thanks, so longer options are only 128 or 256 steps and then max?

Looks like it, yes.

Can confirm that Max is the 6 minutes figure listed in the manual.

Thanks (bummer)! Is there any max length to samples loaded to SD?

I believe around 45 minutes.

scroll up a page and you’ll see the response.
i presume the SD card could hold a sample of many hours length, but it’d be pointless if it wont load .

Does TV latency compensate incoming USB Audio in any way? This will have implications to monitoring MIDI synced external digital audio sources

thanks

Were longer signal paths (as mentioned here Tonverk: Tips & Tricks - #35 by LyingDalai) but in software only (bus-to-bus routing for instance) requested during the beta testing phase and what was Elektron’s response to it?

Would you consider it technically feasible? If not, please help me understand the potential reasons. Too much latency?

If possible, is it likely on the agenda?

Thanks!

Is it normal for the power button to jump back into its initial position? I don’t know the technical term but there are switches that change position on press and ones that jump back into the same position as before when toggled. The tonverk power switch is the first device I have that jumps back, is that normal?

yes

We have talked about BUS destinations, but I don’t remember bus routed to another Bus or a Track (like the input) was debated.

Maybe that would add latencies, I don’t know.
My proposition was really a hack ^^

What? No “Transitions”? Samples will be hard cut at the end of the pattern? The Amp Envelope will be stopped? No, no, no…

Anyway, if my TV arrives tomorrow this will be the first thing that i will test and if its the case will sent it back immediately.

Thanks for your response!

It’s an awesome proposition of yours and just like so many other things on Elektron devices, another great hack

Let’s pray for more flexible routing in the near future

Also, I’m sorry to have mentioned it on multiple occasions on this forum now but this feature is placed even higher on my personal list of requests: user-definable MOD types / the introduction of MOD “machines”, a.k.a. replace an FX LFO with an AUDIO LFO for example, just like you could choose a particular synthesis engine on DNII or ST. Any realistic plans for that?

I’m always impressed at people that use “send back immediately” over one detail.

I would take the time I’m been given to return the device to try to find some alternative, or contact Elektron to know if this is subject to change in the future.

Let’s keep feature requests for the feature requests thread, please
I have no clue what the plans are. I’d love this.

Just wanted confirmation that the filter bank doesn’t have resonance control.

Do sample tails and long samples get cut off when in PERFORM mode? I can see why a sample would abruptly end when changing to whole new kits, presets, and pattern settings. But PERFORM is supposed to keep all that the same when changing patterns. True?

Questions need to be super clear or you’ll get different interpretations

The answer in my evaluation is yes, as you’ve written it …

A long sample set as a 1st condition on pattern A will play beyond the 16th bar as the pattern loops around

It will also continue to play on a new pattern IF the sample is loaded in the same track even if not triggered

It will cease to play if the cued sample isn’t loaded there on the new pattern

AND release is set to max! That’s what I was missing: the sample was cut because on the second pattern, I had the same sample BUT a short REL.

@Zac @Python @Steambeat sorry I gave you a wrong information, I missed a detail in my testing.
So yeah, you can have a long sample playing continuously across patterns!
I have just tested and it works as you expected it.
