Tonverk speculations

I’m on my phone, can you guys see what the outputs are labeled? Is it just numbers? It is too blurry for me.
In the back I mean…

When you have four outputs, there must be a way to mix them to the headphones. Hence a separate headphone volume knob.

A to D

A and B are main out

This is a completely different faceplate and not just different buttons, if you compare the text printed on the outs. An older and newer prototype, maybe?

I hope for OT soundquality for at least one of those outputs :crossed_fingers:

Great! So they are definitely universal outputs that can be assigned. Weird they used letters instead of numbers like DTK.

Is that a memory card slot in the back there?

I hope the others will be better sounding !

“Tonverk output A sound quality” thread incoming !

I considered if they maybe designed it so that one would hit Page and one of the white Drum/Ptn Bank buttons to choose active sequencer page. but they didn’t label them this way. so I dunno…

one of the weirdest things for me is that the Transpose controls are front and center. as if they plan on people using them quite often. do any of the other machines even have dedicated transpose buttons?

Yes, so important on multitimbral machines! It’s the one issue that’s holding my ST back, it sucks that you can’t split its drum and melodics side without OB.

Hahahahaha, you’ve seen the same post about Octa, right? That was fun… Octajail

I wish they would show the other half… that is the important part.

Let’s hope you can transpose your patterns any number of semitones now!

Just noticed the lack of a DC barrel jack. USB power only? Or hopefully there will be an internal battery. Would be awesome if it can act as a USB host.

Yeah, the Analog Four has dedicated transpose buttons. This basically looks the same, though the column of LEDs is vertical not horizontal.

I asked him but he said he sold it already

Good eye! That explains the two USB ports and why it’s USB-C. One for power, the other for connecting to computer

Why not usb-B for the computer link? Ive read that it was more consistent when compared to usb C. But great for studio work for sure

theoretically you can do it all with single usb-c, for example my macbook pro could take power, have the display and usb hub from single port, but it could be that the connector is usb-c only while the functionality is not the same, so yeah, probably either one for power and second for connectivity
