Thanks for the heads-up

I bet they’re just upgrading it with Nu Tube. That would explain the delays. Needed the P-locks to crunch

Let the games begin

I think it’s hilarious that whoever made this ad, messed up by using a photo of the looooong discontinued octatrack mk1

it’s that mk3 retro edition.

I actually forgot Tonverk was a ‘thing’ – busy summer I guess.

Good morningverk. Really? I have a pic of TV set as wallpaper on my laptop, it actually fits very nicely on screen

I really hope they up the game in terms of modulation and envelope shapes. Shaping the modulation like on the S-4 would be so nice. And shaping the envelope curves finally would also help massivly for Sound Design. Please no simple shapes with one destination any longer.

Yeah, more enveloves!

Imagining Elektron releasing a new or reissued product in 2025 with that tiny 2010 LCD screen. It’s perfect. We’ve gotten too spoiled. Squinting at those black pixels boosts creativity

plus no more dreaded screen lines. A win-win

That Mk1 octatrack is suspicious. I think it’s my sweetwater rep Toby trying to send a message that Elektron has a new product on the way with unrivaled synthesizer/sampler panache

It absolutely baffles me how this is implemented so well on the A4, receiving much positive feedback, yet the A4 is the only Elektron machine to ever have this implemented.

Indeed. Would absolutely love that env curve parameter on all my Elektrons

The sticky button haters will be happy.

I wholeheartedly agree. I suppose the idea with the digi boxes is to avoid overcomplicating the interface or options, because I can’t think of any other reason not to implement it. Being able to tweak envelope attack curves can be so critical for sound design, though. I really like how it’s implemented on A4, so I hope they can bring it back.

Whatever their reasoning might be doesn’t explain why the RYTM doesn’t have it either. Just seems backwards and inconsistent to me. Much like the absence of parameter slides in everything new Elektron makes now.

Which is exactly why I’m glad the envelope pages of the digis are straightforward. A simpleton like me never bothers to change the envelope shape types and always changed them on A4 by accident when wanting to adjust release. Granted, they could bury it in a sub page, but I’m glad they don’t make me think I should bother, there’s already enough on the II’s.
