Im sure a fully formed instrument would have its maker talking about adding features that he deems “needed”… makes perfect sense
Any word on resampling?
its by far the biggest feature-request
about filter per sample, doable but would be cpu-bound, i.e. would eat voices. ps. the cpu is an ARM M4+ running at 150MHz.
@te-david Do you know if the single FX slot is a hardware limitation ? Would it be possible to add more ?
its cpu bound, no technical limitation. since the UI today has one fx slot, with 4 aux-sends (from the groups), is a bit like having a single pedal outside. so for now it’s a single FX slot.
re-sampling is totally doable with the hardware. its on our long-term list, it needs a careful design and we don’t want to rush it. the focus right now is polish and stability based on user-feedback
hey, yes, the plan is to support importing “sustain loops” from the .wav header in the ep sample tool
so basically if they’re present, holding down the key would stay in the loop-section until released. no ETA for this but its on many peoples wish-list
thanks @djadonis206
resampling will happen, solves many things like baking lpf/hpf filter + fx into a new sample. also looking at some other creative ways to use the resample feature. stay tuned
Talking about sample looping feature:
agree that its needed! we’re experimenting where to fit it ui-wise
in the transfer tool, we’ve talked about allowing samples to be stored in lower sample/bit-rates. you can always speed-up on your desktop and then slow down in the EP
since you want different play-modes + loop off/on/rev etc. you end up with too many options with our limited knob-space. but a fun ‘hack’ could be to simply let you name the samples [loop-rev] [loop-ping-pong] and it would respect that
