…ot, as it is, since way more than a decade by now, remains that universal sonic swissknife mastertool, that let’s u fool around with audio content in endless ways…and there’s is no such thing anywhere elese to find to be a truu substitute to that…
even it’s most obvious and simple function to just drop a stereofile of any length to one of it’s 128 static slots to just let it run, while u get ur head and hands free to twiddle anything else, remains an outstanding and unique thing, not one other brand ever accomplished in such a simple but geeenius 'n flawless way…
and since all this is such an old concept, there could be many easy tasks u could just add to that cake to create some kind of final solution to the whole sonic game…

make it’s realtime looper capabilties more hands on, come up with a variety of new fx algos to insert them into more flexible signal chains, update it’s sequencer handling with latest swedish inventions already common on all other devices, implement new midi gimmicks for it’s midi sequencer engine all daws came up with recently, explore the digital/analog hybrid planet for the master out…etc, etc…
so, basically yes…“just” more ot in one box…
but from what i can see so far from the first ui renders of toneverk, i guess, ot’s most essential advantages will be covered by it already…and since the ot was always that last thing remaining from a company that does not really exist anymore, since todays elektron has really moved on long time ago, toneverk will most likely take care of that old ot “problem” child thing…
