I must say that this was a fast significant update after a quite big update. I am almost curious now and I am not a early adopter by any means.
I say great work!
I can’t see any choke groups unless it’s buried somewhere.
You got me thinking about possibilities such as p-locking the sample length on a Trig, to emulate a choke if I need to.
There’s a separate Feature Requests thread too, if you put your feature there Elektron might see it.
Wow. Really awesome. ![]()
This might sound silly, but Tonverk is the best one to follow along something on youtube with headphones. Just plug your laptop/phone/tablet to one usb, and you hear it while fiddling along. I’m watching the update videos and following along in realtime ![]()
this is the way!
I’ll need some more days to fully appreciate the new fx options, but what a great update to release before holiday season.
The new recording options are so useful for capturing loops! probably spent 2 hours last night just doing that with my modular.
And patttern mutes! Hell yeah.
This update finally got me. I will have to sell something (one in, one out rules), but it really looks like the sample mangler I’ve been looking for ever since I gave up on the Octatrack.
Yes, same for me last night.
Definitely the same crazy deep/infinite possibilities vibes everytime I turn it on. Less headaches/more fun also, obviously not the same capabilities.
The hours just goes by… endlessly tweaking stuff, thinking about weird routing paths, scrolling through samples while in grainer, assigning destinations in the mod section.
Elektron is really turning it into a gem, I can’t be any happier to see this guy evolving so nicely after that rough start.
Track layering+Page loop and I can call it pure perfection
This is another great update from Elektron, and now, in the days before Christmas, I have a wonderful machine which I am excited to make sounds and music on.
I’m absolutely loving this new reverb. if this were a Eurorack module from say, ALM, I wouldn’t think twice about it costing hundreds of dollars.
got deeply lost in it with just the saw multisample for hours last night.
it seemed really interesting on the stream yday, more so than the release notes made out. seemed like quite a wide range for experimentation!
Totally, there are some serious erbverb vibes to be had!
try the folder with a single cycle waveform and go bunkers! Love it! Thanks @Elektron
Yes. Iam now in doubt with my eurorack-section dedicated to be FX units for external or internal signals. It started with the release of TV, but it emerged now into big questionmarks above my head.
Owning both I had a little up and down
When the trainer came to tonverk, I thought I don’t need the s4 anymore and got rid of it.
However, pretty quickly, I deeply regretted and got the s4 back. Very happy to be fortunate to be able to afford having both. They do compliment a lot in the way I use them.
Like it’s already mentioned, tonverk’s sequencing and fx (plus routing!) capabilities is unmatched if you only have the s4.
On the other hand, s4’s time stretch, overdub and unique (and to some, very annoying) tape workflow yields to the kind of glitchy stuff I really enjoy making.
I hope this helps too
this machine is becoming slowly interesting to me …
yeah exactly what I was thinking! the stereo erbeverb we’ve always wanted!
I‘ve also noticed this. It also means I have to restrain myself from feeling like I need to exhaust all the options and use all the FX all the time. Now we need to learn new complex stuff with each new update. There’s a real danger of not getting anywhere with TV otherwise. But it’s nice knowing you can just record whatever and then go wild for hours making weird shit.
